I stayed at Art Hotel twice. The first time was great, they gave me a deluxe room on the top floor. This recent trip, I was put in a side room which had not been cleaned - human hairs had been wiped all over the scuffed up walls, and even little moleskine band-aids were stuck all over the bathroom. This was really shocking considering how luxury the hotel feels from the lobby. I think MyStays corporate would be interested to know that one of their properties is being run this badly. Is this one of those super racist Japanese hotels where, if you're a foreigner they don't even want you there? So they try to get rid of you by putting you in the worst room? There's no excuse for this. The cleaning team should at the very least be penalized for not doing their job. This is a hygiene problem as well as terrible for your reputation, and following this trip I won't ever invest my money in a MyStays chain hotel . Whoever the General Manager of Art Hotels, that person is a liability for the entire company based on this experience.

1st time book this hotel. I try coz I see the review of the hotel is not bad so I decided to try. Really no disappointed. The environment and rooms are good, just a little bit small. May choose bigger room next time. Is really convenient, just walk about 8min will reach all places for shopping n food.

The room is quite big, but the bathroom is quite small. The hot spring is on the basement floor of the hotel, and an additional 700 yen per person is required, which can be charged directly to the room card. The hot spring is very average, similar to a bathhouse, with a round bath, two large baths, two small single baths, and a sauna. They provide a lounge next to the hot spring where you can watch TV📺, but when I went there, I didn't stay there. There is also a SPA inside, and you need to communicate with the clerk at the door. One of the best hotels in Asahikawa. Especially as part of the MyStays brand, this feels like a stand alone property with higher standards, better service, gym, sauna and room service. Whoever is managing the Art Hotel is doing a great job. I will definitely stay again.

Although the room is not big, it is very clean. The lobby greets you warmly when you enter and leave. The view of the buffet restaurant on the roof is really beautiful. The hotel is 1.3 kilometers away from JR Asahikawa Station, and it is not far to walk. It takes less than 5 minutes to walk to Tokiwa Park. It takes 800 yen to take a taxi to Kamikawa Shrine and Kagura Park within 10 minutes. It takes 3600 yen to take a taxi to Asahiyama Zoo in 20 minutes. There is an airport bus that goes directly to New Chitose Airport downstairs, so it is very convenient to travel. I stayed here for 3 nights. The only bad thing is that the air conditioner in the room can only heat, and the window cannot be opened. The room is too stuffy!
